System Restore not working A month or two ago System Restore stopped working. Up until that point I used
to create them periodically. Now I get the error message "System Restore is
not able to create a restore point. Please restart the computer, and then run
System Restore again." I tried several things to fix it:
1- reinstalled some file that wiped out all old Restore points. Result:
didn't work
2- followed a suggestion from John Barnett's website to another post
(reinstalling Sr.inf). Result: didn't work
3- turned off System Restore, then back on again. Result: didn't work
I'm at a dead end. Please help.

What are your anti-virus and anti-spyware arrangements? What firewall?
Did you make a change about the time or before you first noticed the
problem?
