Default Net Meeting and routers

Can Net Meeting be used to share my desk top if one or both computer are
connected to the internet via a router. If so, what do I need to do.

If you are referring to a typical home NAT-type router, then you
will have to "port-forward" the ports that Net Meeting uses to your
local device of choice (there can be only one) via your Router
Configuration page. The ports used by Net Meeting that you will
have to forward are outlined in the following article:

"Programs require manual port configurations with Internet Connection Firewall"
<http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307554>

This also assumes that your ISP does not block some of these ports.

John
