How to Remove the Dual-boot prompt When my machine boots it prompts for the operating system to boot to -
this very early in the boot. Both choices are identical in booting to
XP Pro. This machine was never a dual system machine. I think it was
Win2000 originally, now XP Pro. I also don't think it matters which
choice I make in the boot prompt. I don't see any differences between
the two. What controls this and what has to be removed?

Boot Paths and it will offer to remove invalid paths. To launch the
utility enter msconfig in the Start menu Run box.
