Default F10 system recovery removed MS Office software

I had Trojan Horse and Malware viruses on my OC so I restored -- that failed
so I ran HP recovery console. All my files are still there -- just moved to a
different location, and my PC is running perfectly and much faster -- with
the exception that Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook won't open. Is it just a
matter of reinstalling the software we bought with my PC?

If those Office programs came with your PC then you probably had only the Trial version. You cannot re-install that you will need to purchase the Office Suite of your choice

If an Office installation CD is among that software that you bought with
your PC, do a repair installation using that software. I did note that you
said bought with the PC, not software that came with the PC that you bought.

As as sidenote, I did a repair install of XP Home edition on a PC awhile
back. Like you, all worked except Office. The fix was as I previously told
you.

If it looks like fish, smells like fish, its not
